While looking for survivors and gathering the dead, it was discovered that the baby inside the woman was still alive. It didn't take long to discover that this "miracle" baby was different. The radiation somehow mutated her making her faster, stronger, age slower and was able to heal faster than anyone had ever seen. The new US led Japanese government secretly moved the baby to the US. There, she was trained by US and Japanese instructors. She was taught every aspect of fighting skills available during that era. Now with her chosen weapon the Katana she has honed her craft and fights evil alongside the 80-year-old supergroup the All-Winners Society. It was during this time that she became fascinated with the thought-to-be deceased heroine Maiden USA, so much so that she patterned the design of her costume, as well as her code name, after hers. When they received a report that Maiden USA had been found alive, she rallied the AWS and headed to the hospital where she found the Society of Evil was also there, trying to apprehend the still unconscious Maiden USA. The SOE's leader, Mr. Okada, still blamed Maiden USA for destroying his time travel device, and he wanted her at any cost, but the All Winners fought them off before they could snatch her. MJ went inside the room of the woman she idolized. She brought along Carrie A. Gunn who happened to be Maiden USA grand-neice. She hoped that seeing a friendly face would ease Maiden USA's feelings when she'd return to consciousness, but the reaction they both got was unexpected. Maiden USA opened her eyes and only saw enemies. She attacked Maiden Japan, calling her a f***en Jap, and other racial slurs. She even attacked Carrie, calling her aa Japanese sympathiser. It took some time, but Carrie was eventually able to calm her down and explained the situation. She told her that the war was over, and that a lot of time had passed. She told her that America and Japan were now allies and trading partners, but Maiden struggled believe her. She still believed that Carrie was a plant, but when they turned on the TV and showed her the real world, Maiden began to believe. Carrie told her that they were related and showed her pictures of her grandparents, one of which was Maiden's sister. After she let all the facts sink in, she turned to the Japanese woman and apologized for attacking her. The war was still fresh in her mind, and she had simply reacted. MJ accepted her apology, although it did affect her idolization of her. Powers Martial arts: MJ is an expert in Kung-fu, Karate, Ninjutsu, Samurai combat among others. Enhanced vitals: The radiation that should have killed her, increased her body's resistance and augmented her endurance, stamina, reflexes and strength. Healing Factor: Her body's rejuvenating properties enables her to heal virtually any injury, over time. Super jump: She can make jumps, allowing her to easily clear a 12-foot fence. Extended lifespan: Her healing factor also helps her age slower than normal. Weaknesses: Has anger issues and can be distracted in a fight. Paraphernalia: Wields a katana, throwing stars and possesses a blade in her hair that she will whip around. |
